Managing partner & chief compliance officer

Catherine Gage O’Grady is Blueshoe’s managing partner and chief compliance officer — and the attorney who reviews every matter the firm takes on. An Arizona lawyer with more than 30 years in practice, she graduated co-valedictorian and magna cum laude from Arizona State University College of Law, clerked for Judge William C. Canby, Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and practiced at Meyer, Hendricks, Victor, Osborn & Maledon in Phoenix.

She then spent more than 25 years as a law professor at Arizona State University and the University of Arizona, where she served as Associate Dean, supervised clinical programs putting practicing attorneys to work in public-service law, and trained a generation of Arizona lawyers in civil procedure, constitutional law, and professional responsibility.

An elected member of the American Law Institute and a veteran of Arizona Supreme Court task forces and commissions, she is a nationally recognized authority on legal ethics: author of Beyond the Rules: Behavioral Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility and, most recently, “Agentic Workflows in the Practice of Law — AI Agents as Ethics Counsel” in the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics (2025) — the ethics framework Blueshoe is built on.

Justice shouldn’t be a luxury.Let the revolution begin.
